Blueprint to solve parking and traffic problem in Manali

Tourist and local residents of Manali will soon get rid of parking and traffic problem. Before next tourist season Manali will traffic free and the reason behind it is that four lane road around Manali and plan to make a mega parking area. In an ongoing four lane project of Central Government from Kiratpur to Kullu, road widening work is under progress. But from Kullu to Manali its only two lanes.

Manali attracts millions of tourist every year and in every season period (May and June) due to lack of basic infrastructure; tourist faces may problems during their visit in Manali. But to solve this problem, government has made a blueprint. In this, 2 km road from Rangri to Manali and 250mts from Manali to Rohtang Pass road will be also four lanes road. Even small bridges over River Beas which connects Manali and Rohtang Pass road will be also replaced by new four Lanes Bridge.

Not only road, but plan to make parking for 2500 vehicles is also there, which is big sigh of relief for both locals and tourists. In below images you can see the road work under progress on right bank of River Beas. No doubt, this road after completion will look like Marine drive road of Mumbai or you can say Beas Riverfront.
